Front Office Team
Our front office team is here to help with all your scheduling, financial, and insurance needs. Most often, they'll be the first smiling faces you’ll see when you come into the office. They’re always available to answer any question you may have and want to make your time here as pleasant, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. They always try to provide the very best customer service available to ensure that you not only get an effective and excellent outcome from your treatment, but also enjoy your time in our office.
Renee
Office Manager / Certified Dental Assistant / Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary
Renee was raised in Northwood and currently resides in Perrysburg with her Husband Doug. She attended Northwood High School and graduated from Penta County Vocational High School. After graduating she became a Certified Dental Assistant and Expanded Functions Duty Assistant. She then moved on to be a trainer and an Orthodontic Assistant.
Renee brings a wealth of knowledge with over 36 years of experience to the practice. For the past eight years, Renee has been the office manager in her husband's practice. She enjoys all of the advances the office provides through technology as well as being able to help create healthy smiles for our patients. Training and working with the team, as well as providing excellent patient care, is her passion.
In their spare time, Renee and her husband love to travel and play with their two dogs as well as spoil their eight grandchildren. They also hosts foreign exchange students in their home.
Amanda
Co-Office Manager / Billing and Insurance Specialist / Certified Dental Assistant
Amanda is a Certified Dental Assistant but also has an associate’s degree in health information management. At Gentle Caring Dentistry she utilizes her skills as a front desk coordinator doing reception work, and insurance billing and coding. Amanda enjoys going to work every day because she admires Dr. Bowman’s passion for making people smile and feel comfortable at the dentist’s office.
Michele
Front Office Coordinator
Michele has over five years of experience in the dental field. In addition to her CPR and radiography certification, she obtained a certified treatment planner certificate, which allows her to process insurance breakdowns, and plan and execute community marketing. Michele builds relationships with everyone she meets. She loves helping a nervous patient overcome their anxiety and fear by helping them understand the need for treatment. Seeing them after the work is done with a happy face and great smile brings Michele a lot of joy.
Ann
Certified Dental Assistant / Front Desk
Ann lives in Fremont and graduated from Fremont Ross High School. She began her career in dentistry in 1999 as an assistant and is now our front desk coordinator. Ann enjoys assisting patients with scheduling appointments, and contacting insurance companies to help patients work within their maximums and budgets. She helps in any way possible to make our patients’ visit a pleasant one.
Our Dental Hygienists
Our dental hygienists take great pride in giving each patient individualized care during regular checkups and cleanings. In addition to polishing your teeth and examining the health of your gums, our hygienists will also give you all the information you need to keep your teeth healthy and your smile looking its best. With years of experience and continual training in the most current hygiene treatments and procedures, our hygienists are able to give you the peace of mind you deserve when trusting someone with your oral health. When it comes to patient care, our hygienists are second to none in providing a comfortable, positive dental experience you’re sure to enjoy.
Kimberly
Registered Dental Hygienist / Myofunctional Therapist / Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary
Kimberly began her dental career in the administrative side of a dental practice, but realized her great interest in working hands-on with patients. She began assisting and returned to school to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. Kimberly provides our patients with the best care she can and educates them on the best ways to improve and maintain their dental health. In addition, she has specialized training in Myofunctional Therapy which teaches people to chew, breathe and swallow properly through exercises, and helps eliminate habits such as thumb sucking, nail biting and TMJ pain. She has a particular talent for working with children and implemented our child sedation protocol in the office. Her goal is to lower patients’ anxiety toward dental treatment and make each patient feel important.
Heather
Registered Dental Hygienist
Originally from Pemberville, Heather attended Eastwood High School and started working as a dental assistant her junior year. In addition to her hygiene duties, she's able to administer nitrous oxide and anesthetic. She has always had a passion for dentistry and decided early on that it was the career path for her. Heather decided to further her education and graduated from Owens Community College with an associate’s degree in health science. Heather’s goal is to provide our patients with the best care possible by educating them on the importance of good oral health.
Laura
Registered Dental Hygienist / Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary / Cosmetic Bonding Specialist
Laura, a native of Elmore, attended Woodmore High School and started college while also working as a dental assistant. She completed an associate’s degree in dental hygiene in 2005, after which she joined our office. Laura’s true passion in dentistry is aesthetics, and she has completed many hours of study with leaders in the field, learning about new ways to improve her patients’ smiles. She's also able to administer nitrous oxide and anesthetic. Laura enjoys seeing her patients’ progress as she provides treatment and education that help them attain optimal oral health.
Brooke
Registered Dental Hygienist
Brooke has an Associate’s Degree from Owens Community College in Dental Hygiene. She is also certified to administer nitrous oxide, making her a valuable asset to the team. She uses her training to provide gentle and thorough care to our patients as well as educating them about the ins and outs of oral hygiene. Brooke was born and raised in Wisconsin, but started living in Ohio in her high school years. She loves getting the chance to educate patients about oral health and helping them reach their health goals.
Our Dental Assistants
Our dental assistants are here to make your experience in our office as easy and stress-free as possible. Usually found working alongside the dentist, our assistants help with many of the procedures and treatments you’ll receive at our office. They are dedicated individuals who look forward to building a relationship with you and your family. Our assistants stay up-to-date with the newest and best technology in order to serve you better and continue their training throughout the year. They look forward to helping to bring you optimal oral health and a great smile for life!
Amber
Dental Assistant / Certified Dental Designer / Lab Technician
Amber was born and raised in Maumee. She attended Maumee High School and Penta County Vocational School, and graduated with a graphics degree from Owens Community College. She was trained hands-on by our team and Dr. Bowman to become the assistant she is today. Amber assists Dr. Bowman during procedures, takes X-rays and digital scans, fabricates bite guards and bleaching trays, and is certified in designing and fabricating crowns as well as repairing partials and dentures. She loves working with Dr. Bowman and our team to give patients a stress-free, positive dental appointment.
Heidi
Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary/Certified Dental Assistant/Phlebotomist
Heidi completed a two-year dental assisting program at Penta Vocational School and earned her Certification for EFDA at OSU. Since then, she has also become certified as a phlebotomist at Herzing University. She has worked in the dental field for over 12 years and brings a lot of expierence to the dental team. Heidi enjoys working with the community, improving people's smiles, and changing the lives of those around her.
Stephanie
Dental Assistant
Stephanie completed the dental radiology program at Owens Community College. She has worked in public health dental facilities, orthodontic offices, and oral surgery offices as a dental assistant over the past 14 years. Stephanie cherishes the relationships she’s created with her patients and thrives on learning new things. She loves working with Dr. Bowman and the team to provide patients with the highest level of care.
Leslie
Dental Assistant
Leslie has worked as a dental assistant for the past four years. She has her CPR training and radiology license, has studied at Toledo Dental Academy for assisting, and has taken a course in New Orleans focusing specifically on mouthguards. She is continually learning and educating herself, to provide our patients with cutting edge services procedures. Leslie feels fortunate to work with such great patients and helping our amazing dental team in our office.
